Envision is seeking a strategic, collaborative, driven, and analytical Business Systems Analyst to join our team.

This team member will support high priority initiatives, gather and manage requirements on behalf of varying clinical and business stakeholders, and work directly with an Agile development shop to deliver quality products.

Additional key aspects of this role include identification of request value, feature organization, and support from intake to consumer delivery in a dynamic, high-paced work environment. This individual will function as the product expert in areas assigned. In addition, the Business Systems Analyst will produce high quality artifacts in support of the project and software development life cycle.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather user requirements from end users using interviews, document analysis, requirements, business process descriptions, use cases, and task and workflow analysis
  • Manage back office stakeholder feature/story/bug requests and target value of request
  • Plan targeted features based on prioritized/ranked project backlog(s)
  • Develop requirements into a feature specification and build stories in ALM (application lifecycle management.)
  • Break down complex requests into manageable story components for backlog grooming
  • Fully document all use cases so that business logic is clearly understood
  • Act as back office product owner and sign off on stories prior to transition to testing
  • Generate user personas for back office users
  • Prepare meaningful user, administration, and system application documentation and training materials: including walkthroughs, written materials, and video
  • Create end user release training, notes, and other necessary documentation by user group
  • Perform back office stakeholder communications regarding product updates and released features
  • Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts
  • Have direct interaction with end-users and the ability to understand a description of a problem as well as the ability to effectively communicate a solution.


Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:


4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience. 



  • 3+ years working as a business analyst in a structured, agile development environment
  • Exposure to clinical/healthcare environment highly preferred


    Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and identify solutions to business process and data challenges
  • Very proficient at building and designing use case, workflow, wireframe, and data flow diagrams
  • Solid understanding of software development, user documentation, release notes, Agile stories, data flow diagrams, and SDLC within an Agile/SCRUM environment
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Microsoft Office expertise
  • Familiar with a variety of field concepts practices and procedures. Basic knowledge of business systems and problem solving. 
  • Applicant is expected to have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and policies within the information services field.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
